Grace Potter opened the evening for Sharon Jones. never one to disappoint, Grace & the boys put on an energetic opening set. Catherine Popper was noticeably absent on bass, but the show went on. John Rogone did her justice filling in. never a dull moment & high energy for the entire set, she left the crowd wanting more, and in a good mood for Sharon Jones. check out the intro to the Sharon Jones set at the end of the post. enjoy.

back in September, Derek & I were lucky enough to go see Sharon Jones & Grace Potter. Grace opened the evening up, setting the stage for Sharon Jones. i first saw Sharon backing Phish at Festival 8 for the Exile Set. I’ve always enjoyed her music, but this was my first time seeing her & the Dap Kings & they did not disappoint.  JD & Callie were gracious enough to host us, and joined us for the show.
